This drum assembly replaces a worn or damaged dryer drum to restore proper tumbling and prevent fabric damage. Durable stamped steel construction helps maintain smooth rotation and even drying for front-load dryers. What it does:
- Replaces a dented, cracked, or bent drum that can catch or tear clothing
- Restores smooth tumbling to eliminate scraping, rubbing, or loud metal-on-metal noises
- Helps maintain proper airflow and even drying when the original drum is damaged
- Works with existing rollers, seals, and support components when those parts are in good condition
What's included: One replacement drum assembly Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and gas, if applicable) before beginning any repair
- Handle the drum carefully—edges can be sharp; use gloves and eye protection
- Some disassembly of the dryer cabinet and removal of front bulkhead may be required
- Inspect and replace worn rollers, glides, or seals as needed for best results; test operation after reassembly
