This is the lower front access panel (toe kick plate) that covers the area beneath the dishwasher door. It conceals the water supply, drain connections, and electrical wiring while providing a finished appearance. Replace this panel if it is cracked, warped, discolored, or damaged during installation or maintenance work. This panel is bisque in color.

Searched the dishwasher model on ApplianceParts (had used them for a washing machine repair a few years earlier). Was looking for an exploded diagram of the internal parts so I could figure out what might be the problem. There was a video for a motor seal repair kit that seemed to address the bearings which is what I suspected was the culprit.
