This Drain Pump Motor Assembly replaces the washer's drain pump motor and impeller so the machine can move water out during drain and spin cycles. Restores proper draining and reduces standing water in the tub. What it does:
I was able to pull the entire basket/pump/motor assembly out from inside the tub I did not pull the DW out of the cabinet. I did not remove/disconnect the water line or even have to disconnect/cut power. I only removed the drain tube and drain pump. The rest came out from inside the tub. Much easier than I anticipated. There are some videos that demonstrate how to do this. I took my time and cleaned everything once I had it all out. Read more

This run capacitor helps start and keep the motor running smoothly by providing the necessary phase shift and torque boost. A weak capacitor can cause hard starting, humming, or intermittent motor operation.
Figured it was either the capacitor and/or motor. Ordered both parts to be sure. tried changing the capacitor first; same problem. Replaced the motor (leaving the new capacitor in place). Unit now works fine. Overall an easy fix once you get the washer out and tip it on its side or top to get access to the motor area. Read more

After talking with the rep from appliance pro, she helped me verify wat I needed, everything came as we discussed. After removing the inner door the vent assembly was difficult removing, it does unplug, do not twist it off, had to replace that piece as well. Had to cut of notch on inner door for the vent assembly to reseat properly. It does twist off, just a bear to put back on. once all assembled turned the machine on and no more leaks. I first wanted to get the dishwasher running, before ordering the spring links. So I disassembled the pump / motor assembly to determine the reason the motor would not start. My wife cleaned all of the parts in the pump assembly. I took the motor apart and discovered that the lower bearing ( a sleeve type bearing) was dry and dirty, and was the culprit for the motor seizing. I cleaned up the bearing and lubricated it with SAE 20W. I also packed felt inside the cavity adjacent to the bearing.... Read more
