The job should have been very easy after watching a youtube video but the panel was stuck on the bottom and it took a call to the AppliancePros customers service line to figure out I needed some extra effort to pry it loose. I bought the dishwasher used and the control panel never fully worked. The countdown timer was non-functional, many of the buttons were unresponsive, and "start" needed to be pressed multiple times before the dishwasher would turn on. After a few months, none of the lights worked, and all the buttons stopped responding. The control panel houses buttons and displays for oven operation, mounted on the front of the appliance. Replace if buttons stick, the display is unreadable, or controls are completely unresponsive.
Replaced the part. I have a lot of practice at this now. I'll never buy another Maytag product. Read more
