This component is a control panel used on many dishwashers. It sits at the top of the dishwasher door and includes a small display window. All of the buttons except the start button worked fine so I suspected a door latch problem. When I took the door apart I found the latch handle was broken on one side. My assumption was the broken handle was not engaging the door switch correctly causing the dishwasher to not start because it registered as not being lactched close.
