I knew the detergent dispenser was broken. That was an easy fix - though I did find that the retaining pin was too big, and I had to make the hole in the shaft a little bigger. As far as the noise, I started disassembling and cleaning things, until I found that the diverter had broken free from the top of the housing, and was now stuck on the motor. Ordered a new tub gasket and baffle seal. Baffle seal replacement required removal of the door. Not too difficult. Tub gasket replacement was easy until I tried to shut the door. The new gasket was a little thicker than the original. The door would not latch. I elongated some holes on the strike - still not enough. I removed some material from the latch mechanism (plastic) with a coarse file. This was enough to allow the door to shut and set the switch. For someone not handy, this would be... Read more
