Connects the dispenser motor to the ice bucket auger. Replace if stripped, worn, or broken to restore proper torque transfer and smooth ice dispensing.
Removed drip pan from ice dispenser. Removed two screws hidden behind drip pan to loosen bezel at bottom. Carefully lifted bezel off top hook to expose controller board cabling. Disconnected three connectors to control board behind bezel to remove bezel completely. Removed two (possibly three) screws to access the back of the ice chute mechanism. Replaced water line to ice maker and installed redesigned p trap drain. I watched the installation videos and my wife and I easily completed this project. One thing that I want to add for others. When the ice maker supply was leaking, it filled the funnel in the ice maker with an ice block. I had to remove the ice maker(which is pretty easy) and defrost the ice block before reinstalling the supply line. If I had not, the water would have poured into the ice bin. Read more
