The Control Board is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It controls and regulates the dryer's various functions and cycles. The control board receives input from sensors and user controls, processes this information, and sends signals to different components such as the motor, heater, and drum to execute the desired drying operations.
Causes of a bad Control Board can include power surges, electrical shorts, or simply wear and tear over time.
Symptoms of a bad Control Board include:
- The dryer not turning on or responding to user input
- Erratic behavior or error codes displayed on the control panel
- Individual components like the motor or heater not functioning properly
- Unexplained shut-offs or resets during the drying cycle
This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
