This is a Maytag oven control board. It manages and monitors oven temperatures and features a digital display. The control board can short out due to power surge or exposure to excessive heat. For example, if the oven's self clean function is run too long or too frequently, parts of the control board could melt or otherwise malfunction. If the control board has failed, the oven may not work at all.Before installing this part, be sure to cut power to the appliance and allow it to cool completely. The stove may need to be pulled away from the wall to access the screws holding the control panel in place. Remove the screws from each side of the control panel to gain access to the old control board. Disconnect any wire harnesses connected to it and remove any screws mounting it in place before installing the new part.This is a genuine OEM part compatible with ranges manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. This product is just the panel and contains no additional parts or hardware.
After testing to make sure where the problem was I searched the net for the part ,Maytag had the cheapest price but charged outrageous shipping and atwo to three wait for delivery. I bought the part from Appliance PartsPros with a fair shipping price and had the part the following Monday ,3 and a half days since placing the order and in the end it was 7 dollars cheaper than the advertized "lowest price" guys that had extremely high shipping reveled only at checkout.
