Prior to ordering parts I had pulled the pump strainer basket and cleaned it out. There was both soft and hard scale build up. The tub-to-pump hose was also pretty crusty/slimey. This is a plastic divider that fits inside the detergent dispenser drawer of a washing machine. It separates the compartments for detergent, bleach, or fabric softener so each product is dispensed at the correct time during the wash cycle. Replace this part if your dispenser drawer is missing a divider, if products are mixing together, or if the divider is cracked or broken.
Washer won't agitate or spin? A worn stator prevents the motor from generating the magnetic field needed to operate. Moderate DIY repair, about 2 hours.
Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great ! I maybe had 2 hours time in it and that includes taking it out of the laundry room and into the garage to work on it and back. Read more
