Prior to ordering parts I had pulled the pump strainer basket and cleaned it out. There was both soft and hard scale build up. The tub-to-pump hose was also pretty crusty/slimey. Washer won't agitate or spin? A worn stator prevents the motor from generating the magnetic field needed to operate. Moderate DIY repair, about 2 hours.
Took the back cover off, noticed the bolt holding the rotor on was broke off in the shaft which wore the stator and rotor. So I drilled out the broken bolt and extracted it with an easy out and replaced the stator the rotor and the bolt. Works great ! I maybe had 2 hours time in it and that includes taking it out of the laundry room and into the garage to work on it and back. Read more
This is the inlet nozzle that directs water into the washing machine tub during the fill cycle. It connects to the water inlet valve and channels water flow into the drum.
