This is a holding/booster solenoid coil that attaches to the gas valve assembly on a gas dryer. It controls the flow of gas to the burner by opening the valve when energized during the heating cycle. Replace this coil if your gas dryer runs but does not produce heat, or if the burner ignites intermittently and shuts off prematurely.
