A protective plastic or resin shield that covers the microwave's waveguide or other internal components from food splatter and damage. Located on the interior ceiling or side wall of the microwave, it should be replaced if cracked, burned, melted, or shows signs of arcing damage.

All other functions seemed normal but nothing would heat at all. Eliminating the other top causes for malfunction; diode, cap, power supply, fuse, narrowed down to magnetron which incidentally had a cracked magnet ring. Received replacement in less than one week. Replaced part and unit function has been restored. Also replaced the light bulb while it was opened up. Ordered fuse and door switches just to have on hand should they ever fail. This is obviously the easiest appliance fix the on planet a monkey could have done it, pull the old one off and drop the new one on. This door bar shelf support end cap can be used on both the right and left hand on many Maytag refrigerator and freezer doors. Color: white. Measures about 1-1/2 inches high by 3 inches deep.
Remove broken end caps and replace with new ones. I did use a screwdriver to push the second holding tab into the slot, then I pushed the shelf bar up (or down) to match door contour. Read more
