This is a glass or plastic lens cover that sits over the interior light bulb inside the microwave. It protects the light bulb from grease, food splatter, and heat while allowing light to illuminate the cooking cavity. Replace this lens if it is cracked, cloudy, discolored, or missing, which can leave the bulb exposed to damage and reduce interior visibility.

This is a resin waveguide cover that sits inside the microwave cavity and shields the magnetron opening from food splatter and moisture. It allows microwave energy to pass through while protecting internal components. Replace this cover if it is cracked, burned, warped, or if you notice arcing or sparking during operation.
I searched the web and it seemed that many people had a similar problem when gunk got on the waveguide plate/cover. When I removed the cover, one of the plastic latches broke so rather than just trying to clean the plate, I had to order a new one. The new one arrived in just a couple of days, I put the plate on and at least for the last few days, no more arcing. <$10 fix for my over the stove microwave. Read more

If your microwave runs but won't heat food, the magnetron has likely failed. This high-voltage tube generates microwave energy. Moderate DIY difficulty.
This was an expensive Maytag over the stove type unit. Removal was easy, just two screws allow it to tip forward and then lift off the wall bracket. 14 screws around the outer shell and it lifts off to expose everything. Basic meter checks show the capacitor, diode, transformer, fuses all good. The ohm meter checks on the magnetron did not clearly show it to be bad, but with the only problem of not making things hot, it was the most likely problem. Ordered the magnetron and diode, very... The Time Delay Fuse is an OEM part for LG microwaves. This fuse provides a safety mechanism by delaying the flow of electricity, protecting the microwave's electrical components from power surges and ensuring the appliance operates safely. Over time, the time delay fuse can become damaged due to electrical surges, wear and tear, or faulty connections. If the fuse blows, it can disrupt the microwave’s ability to function correctly.
Symptoms of a bad time delay fuse include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Microwave won't start or stops working? A broken door latch prevents the door switch from engaging. Direct replacement, typically takes 15-30 minutes.
Replaced latch and the choke cover because a few tabs broke off the cover. Only real problem with the whole job was the fact the shipping although fast enough, cost more than the parts themselves. Expected since I knew the cover needed a large box. All well packed and came with no damage. Have always had a great experience with appliance parts pros. Would recommend to dyi and pros alike. LG Help-line said probably a failed magnetron, but since out of warranty, referred me to an authorized LG repair service. They wanted $79.95 service call to come out & diagnose problem. Plastic film covers holes in the microwave inner door frame. Replace if bubbled, burned, cracked, or peeling. Attaches to door glass assembly.
Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Easier than sending them back since I had the whole thing apart anyways. The part I really needed was no longer available, the outside door. The glass reinstalled into the retainers in the door without a... Read more
