This socket holds the light bulb inside your microwave oven and provides the electrical connection for illumination. It allows you to see your food while cooking and provides interior lighting when the door is opened. Replace this socket if the microwave light won't turn on, flickers, or if the bulb keeps burning out quickly.

This safety component prevents the microwave door from being opened during operation and is located on the door frame or handle assembly. Replace it if the door won't latch securely, the microwave runs with the door open, or if the button is physically damaged.
