Removed microwave from the built in cabinet (probably the hardest part) and took off top cover (screws on side and back). Had previously blown the power fuse 2 times in this microwave, so I checked the fuse first using an ohmmeter. This time fuse was good. Downloaded service manual, got over my fear of getting shocked. Found Samsung put bleed resistors in capacitor, jumped with screwdriver to confirm as per service manual. Tested diode, found a large voltage drop with 9v battery. Capacitor test failed. Called into APP to confirm, got some great advice. I got Samsungs repair manual and started testing the components and found the magnetron was shorted internally, 107 ohm to ground. Also found low resistance on both the primary and secondary side of the transformer, according to the manual. THE MANUAL IS INCORRECT, THE REPLACEMENT TRANSFORMER HAD THE SAME RESISTANCE.
