I replaced the pump and motor assembly. I also proactively replaced the fill hose while I had the dishwasher out since it was decades old. GE now only sells a generic kit. There were about 7 different sets of directions for different groups of models, and myriad adapters and other parts to support all of them. Had a two fold problem. The temperature started to have a mind of it's own getting colder and running more than usual. Then it seemed to stay in the defrost cycle longer. Manually turning the Timer- Defrost Control helped at first but then gave out, as it would electrically time but not click out of the defrost mode.
