Refrigerator air return cover assembly snaps into the back wall to direct airflow and protect the return opening. Replace if cracked, broken, or missing.
The appliance repair technician showed me that the blue flab of this air vent was missing. He said that the part would cost about $150 so he put a piece of tape over it to limit the air flow. This might have worked fine but I had used AppliancePartsPros.com to keep a dishwasher going previously and checked what they wanted for the part. The limit switch would get "stuck" in the on position so I changed that. Also changed the actuator pad for good measure as I mine was worn and dirty. You'll need a T15 driver (torx) to access the panel, then a small phillips screwdriver to remove the limit switch. This fix takes about 10-15 minutes. Dispenser functions properly now, shutting off when released. No more spillage. Read more
