The Door Latch Hook is an OEM replacement part for LG microwaves. Located internally on the door frame, this metal hook secures firmly into the microwave's door latch bracket when closed. As a common wear point, the hook can experience minor warping over many years of use.

Careful placement of new screws into the inside of the outer door that now hold the frame assembly to the door secured the frame assembly to the outer door. All of the other parts I bought and replaced were a waste of money. I figured since I had them I might as well install them anyways. Found the fix description online - purchased the Door Latch Bracket. I did need to remove the Microwave from the cabinet it was built into. Required removing the screws at the four corners of the trim piece surrounding the microwave. Then removed the oven with the frame bracket attached - removed the bracket, then needed a star shaped secure screwdriver to remove the microwave skin around the sides and top (remove the secure screws from the back and slide the skin toward the back and off). ...
