This capacitor stores and releases electrical energy to help power your microwave's magnetron and other components. It works with the transformer to provide the high voltage needed for microwave operation. If your microwave won't heat food, makes unusual noises, or trips circuit breakers, a faulty capacitor is often the cause.

Let me first say that I did not intend to fix this microwave due to the age, however there are literally zero new microwaves that are small enough (height and depth) to fit. This mounting component secures the door latch mechanism inside your microwave's frame. Located on the door frame where the latch engages, it ensures proper door closure and safety. Replace if the microwave door won't stay closed, won't start, or the safety interlock fails.
I unplugged the microwave and took off a couple of screws and security screws to access the inside panel. Noticed the door latch bracket was broken.....replaced it and put it back together. All in all took about 15 minutes and the problem was fixed! Read more
