Found the fix description online - purchased the Door Latch Bracket. I did need to remove the Microwave from the cabinet it was built into. Required removing the screws at the four corners of the trim piece surrounding the microwave. Then removed the oven with the frame bracket attached - removed the bracket, then needed a star shaped secure screwdriver to remove the microwave skin around the sides and top (remove the secure screws from the back and slide the skin toward the back and off). ... Removing the unit and opening it up was relatively easy. The repair parts were easy to install however the wiring instructions did not match the parts exactly. The timer had two solid black leads coming out of it but the instructions cites a white wire and a blue/black wire. Luckily, one of the black leads had a male blade connector that connected to the override switch after some deductive reasoning. My only complaint is that all the wires had female blade connectors which I had to cut off... Read more
Replaced a bad thermostat. The factory thermostat had a bad internal connection (one contact was loose) and that caused the insulation to melt with the eventual failure of the thermostat.
