I figured out that the problem was the latch. I entered my model and serial #s. I chose the part that I needed and was treated to a video on how to do the job and what I would need for tool This saved me hours of trying to reason the job out on my own. Replaced the door assembly Before taking the door off the washer I painted the hinges with a little finger nail polish to enable the hinges to be replaced correctly. Used petroleum jelly on the outside of the vent grommet (18) so it could easily be slipped on to the door liner. Also used the petroleum jelly on the bottom of the vent tube (17) to fit into the vent grommet.
