Plastic card tool designed to safely remove refrigerator door handles without damage. Slides between handle and door to release internal clips for removal.
I had called a local appliance repair tech to replace this part but he got sick before I received the clips. Took a little under an hour to replace the clips, install the new handle, the left side crisper drawer support, and a new crisper drawer cover (from a previous order). I knew the problem was with the gears and / or the rails they ride on. You can't really tell until you take it apart. Turns out my right side track had a few damaged teeth towards the front. The door has to come off, it lifts right out from the metal slide, no tools needed for this part of the repair. Both baskets have to be lifted out. The plastic gards that go over the tops have retaining clips. Pry the old gears off off the metal slides with a sturdy flat screwdriver.The replacement gears... Read more
