The Tube is an OEM part for Bosch gas ranges. It is a hollow metal tube that sits beneath each gas burner on the cooktop and connects the burner to the gas valve and manifold.
Causes of a bad tube include normal wear and tear over extended use. Gas burns at high temperatures and the tubes are constantly exposed to heat which can weaken the metal over time. Accidental damage during cleaning is also possible.
Symptoms of a bad tube include:
- Burners that will not ignite or light inconsistently
- Weak, small flames rather than strong blue flames
- Burners that emit an unusual smell when operating
- Uneven or abnormal cooking temperatures from the burner
This genuine OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau and select Kenmore models.

Upon disassembly, I found the burner gas tubes were seized in the burner assembly requiring destructive disassembly to remove them. After drilling these out, I was sure that it would take weeks to source all of the parts and get them back together. In three days all parts were at my door and the range was back together that day.
