Got my son to fix it for me. He had to pull the dishwasher out from under the counter to reach the remaining part of the door latch. He removed the spring mechanism and placed it onto the new replacement latch and replaced the single screw holding the latch onto the dishwasher. Took him about half an hour. It's good to have sons! Removed dishwasher to replace spray arm pine--I replaced washer on pipe, too, and would recommend doing this just on principal. Removing dishwasher requires disconnecting power, water, and drain line--tools will vary depending on connections. i replaced drain line because original install was not done correctly--hose too short--You could probably do just this w/o pulling unit.
