I found the manufacturers parts drawing and purchased the parts that were needed.The previous home owner had not only removed from he parts but he had also reversed the direction of the dish rack. The video provided by Appliance Parts Pros is excellent! I followed its steps. The one problem I had was getting the ribbon to disconnect. The plastic pieces that hold it together are fragile and broke. So, instead of disconnecting the ribbon I placed a kitchen stool in front of the dishwasher door and laid the top portion on it. Then I was able to remove the handle and change out the actuator. The handle was fine and did not need replacing; a tab on the actuator had broken. (In my opinion... Read more
Ordered parts and watched video. It was not the exact same GE as my model. Had to guess at times. Took a couple of hours, but the repair was great. Read more
Fairly close to how the video explained it although had to remove the front door panel completely to remove the operations panel. My dishwasher was a slightly different configuration than shown. Much easier fix than I initially thought it would be though. Read more
