This is a hinge base screw used to secure a door hinge assembly so the door stays aligned and operates smoothly. It replaces a worn, missing, or damaged hinge screw to restore proper hinge fit. What it does:

Replaced front dryer drum support and lint trap duct as both were disintegrating with multiple cracks. Switch is part of the motor. Removed drum and replaced motor. Repositioned drive belt and performed a preventive maintenance by replacing the felt drum gasket and bearing slides. Cleared the error codes and ran a drying cycle. All worked as designed. Well done Read more
Found the part number and installation instructions online. Ordered the part online through AppliancePartsPros.com. Part arrived within a week. Removed the door from the dryer then removed the face of the door from the rest of the door. The broken part was then easily accessible and replaced. Reattached the door face and reattached the door.
