Rubber grommet seals the ice maker fill tube where it enters the refrigerator cabinet. Replace if cracked, brittle, leaking, or missing to restore seal.
Replaced original (18 yrs.) 1/4" plastic tubing, clamp and grommet (AppliancePartsPros/GE parts) from outlet of ice maker water control valve to ice maker inlet. Also replaced water supply line to inlet of water control valve with new, GE braided, PEX 1/4" supply line with pre-attached female compression fittings on both ends. I pulled out the cracked shelf and laid it on the kitchen table. I laid the new shelf next to it, and one by one, moved each part from the old to the new. The whole process took about 15 minutes. We had no idea what model GE Profile refrigerator we had (bought it dented, no model number to be found, the shelf broke early and we glued it - unsuccessfully) so it was ALMOST impossible to find the right part.
