The range hood control panel overlay is the printed label that covers the control buttons and displays cycle options on your range hood. It provides clear marking for fan speeds, lighting controls, and other functions. Replace this overlay if the text has worn off, buttons are unclear, or if the overlay is peeling or damaged.
Pretty easy job for a DIYer. The control panel gets loose when the plastic tabs break for one reason or the other. You can replace the control board housing without having to replace the control board. Note also that the control board housing comes with a new control overlay label, so you don't need to buy the label like I did. This is a set of screws and nuts used to install and secure a range hood. The fasteners attach the hood body to the mounting bracket and surrounding cabinetry. Replace this hardware set if the original screws or nuts are stripped, missing, or damaged during installation or removal.

This control board manages your vent hood's fan speeds, lighting, and other electronic functions. It processes button inputs and controls the motor and light operations accordingly. Replace if your vent hood lights won't turn on, fan speeds don't change, or the controls are completely unresponsive.
Replaced the Electronic Circuit Board, part number AP2832721, which resolved the problem. It also resolved the issue with the two hood lights that stopped working a few years ago, which I couldn't figure out. Turn off the circuit breaker that feeds the range hood. Remove the three filters, and while they're out, you might as well run them through the dishwasher.
