This safety device monitors oven temperature and shuts off heating elements if temperatures exceed safe limits. Replace it if the oven overheats, fails to maintain set temperatures, or shuts off unexpectedly during normal cooking.
I bought replacement hinges and installed them myself. The hardest part of the job was the first part: to remove the oven door you have to lock the old hinges with small brackets, and one side did not want to lock--I had to use a hammer. The door was heavier than it looks, but the only challenge after that was the fact that the edges of the door parts were sharp. I probably should have worn gloves when handling them. I ordered two oven hinges online and received them the next day. The fix was pretty simple and the oven door closes tight with no more flicker. Read more
It was a little tricky. I watched a video it helped a little . Took the door apart, that was the easy part, BUT putting it back, could not remember sequence of parts. I would suggest take a picture of each piece as you remove them that would help. Read more
