I replaced the cracked valve cover assembly. After making sure the water pressure is off: I suggest anyone doing the same to mop all the water out of the valve with a rag before taking care to stick the Teflon seal loom in the O ring seal channels under the valve spool with Vaseline (so it doesn't move during assembly) and to make sure that the valve cover O ring is actually on the cover (instead of in the spool well) before tightening the cover in place with the five stainless screws. Very easy replacement of the body valve. I reused all the o ring and gaskets. I would have bought them though if it would have been suggested to me by Appliance pros. I lubed all the originals with Vasoline as I put it back together. I know have the pipes supported properly as well so that there is not excessive down pressure on the valves.
