This part is a genuine OEM gas valve made for use with gas-powered ranges. The gas valve ensures that gas can enter the appliance so that the burners can light. On dissasembly the venturi was fused into the jet holder which caused the whole assembly to spin and ruined (spun) the burner supply tube in the process.
