This cover pan assembly replaces the evaporator drain area to catch and channel defrost water away from the evaporator and into the drain system, helping reduce leaks and ice buildup in the freezer compartment. What it does:

• Covers the evaporator area and collects defrost water for proper drainage
• Channels water to the drain to prevent pooling and potential refreezing
• Protects internal components from moisture and helps maintain normal defrost operation
• Commonly used when you see water pooling, ice buildup around the evaporator, or slow drainage

• Disconnect power to the appliance before starting work to avoid shock or damage
• Handle with care to avoid damaging the evaporator fins or nearby wiring; inspect and clear the drain tube before reassembly
• If gasket clips or mounting hardware are missing or damaged, replace them separately
