The Control Board is an OEM part for GE ranges. As the central control unit, the range control board is responsible for monitoring and regulating all electrical functions of the oven such as the bake and broil elements, temperature sensors, timers and displays.
Causes of a bad control board can include corrosion, loose or damaged connections, or failure of electronic components over time due to heat exposure and regular use.

First I removed the door from the oven. Then I disassembled the door and removed the broken glass panel using instructions found easily on YouTube. Then I reassembled and reinstalled the door on the oven. Total time involved approximately 1 1/2 hours. Read more
