Ordered the replacement IceMaker from ApplianceParts. Took it out of the box, and looked it over, and confirmed that it is only 2 screws (phillips head) that had to be removed from the old IceMaker. Then un-snaped the electrical connection, and installed the new IceMaker within 10 minutes. Very easy...and quite a cost from having a tech come out! Our new self-installed IceMaker is pumping out the ice, and every time I hear it dump ice...I smile, and say "That was easy!" Read more

I ordered the Evaporator assembly for my model (Samsung RB1855SL/XAC) and upon receiving the assembly I dismantled the element from the cooling assembly by bending back the aluminium tabs. I then replaced the existing element with the new one and realigned the aluminium tabs, plugged in the new element, fuse link and sensor. This meant I didn't have to discharge and recharge the cooling system. Everything seems to work great now. Thanks Read more
Had to take the defroster apart from the evaporator since they don't sell them seperatly, that was the only downfall but with their easy to read diagrams it was easy to get the right parts I needed and trust me when I say I'm no refrigeration pro! Read more

After 15 to 20 min of clearing frost I was ready to replace Drain Plate's & Thermal fuse's. When I had removed the old Defrost Thermal fuse's in the refrigerator & the freezer they looked different! They had an insulating foam... Read more
Replaced ice maker assembly because ice was always presented like crushed ice instead of cubes. Still had icing issue, so hit reset and watched water as it cycled to fill ice tray. Water dripped from tube outside of nozzle. Pulled refrigerator away from wall and removed cover of water supply tube. The tube had broken into two pieces allowing water to slip past and drip into freezer compartment. Replaced tube in about 15 minutes and we have no icing issues anymore Read more
