Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. I replaced the temperature sensor, the thermo fuse, and the heating element that thaws the evaporator on a cycle to keep the evaporator from freezing up. Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine. PS- use a small open end wrench to push the fan blade off the old fan. Read more
