I replaced the controller. I had a heck of a time figuring out how to get to it. The video on the website showed access to the control via the rear panel. On the Kitchen Aid we have, the back panel is part of the range's main frame and does not come off. Turns out, 2 screws behind the fluorescent lamp had to be removed and the entire control panel housing lifts up and can be tilted forward. Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years...
