We bought this and received it the next day! It looks exactly the same as the original, but it was actually easier to install because it had a slightly different attachment system. I installed it in 5 minutes and it looks and works great! You just need a tiny flathead screwdriver. Place the handle on the door over the metal knobs and screw the little screw tightly in. We have a Samsung RF217 refrigerator and this handle is a perfect fit for the drawer freezer. Read more

Initially called repair man and he checked it out , took about half of the freezer insides out to decide the fan was bad. Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. Slide removal - Remove upper tray and lower basket from freezer drawer. Remove four phillips screws in freezer door and lift drawer door off slides. We installed thermostat- bi metal protector. We first had to unplug the fridge for three hours. We removed all shelves and drawers to get to panel and installed the new part. Then we put it all back together and plugged it back in. We also vacuumed the back of fridge to make sure air was circulating properly. Read more

Problem with handle was the plastic inserts in the handle had cracked and also the plastic part that holds the shaft had broken. The plastic inserts are not availble from Samsung or any other source that I could find. There was a hole in each side of the handle where you could unlatch the handle to remove it.
