After receiving the part, I found I had to dismantle the left side of the handle in order to fix the right side that was broken. When I took the left side of the handle off I found the plastic piece that broke on the right side was about to break on the left side also. Fixes corroded or broken wiring causing motor failure. Connects evaporator fan motor to electrical system. Moderate DIY repair, requires panel removal.
Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine. PS- use a small open end wrench to push the fan blade off the old fan. Read more

Slide removal - Remove upper tray and lower basket from freezer drawer. Remove four phillips screws in freezer door and lift drawer door off slides.
