This is the decorative trim piece that covers the vent opening along the top of the oven door, allowing hot air and steam to escape during cooking. It snaps or screws into place on the door panel. Replace this trim if it is cracked, warped, discolored, or missing, which can affect the appearance of your range and potentially disrupt proper ventilation.
