I used to have a ferret that liked to steal socks but I did not know she had been crawlinging into my stove to hide stuff. She had made a nest out of the insulation but did not hurt any wires. I cleaned up the sides of my stove and noted that the wires and mechanisms were all fine. I knew all I needed was the side and top wrap of insulation.
