Following advice on YouTube I removed the ice maker and found the ice tray had broke. The You Tube video said they got the parts from AppliaceParts Pros. The site was easy to use and quickly sent me the needed part - an ice tray for about $12. Much cheaper than a service call. I put in the part yesterday. It was easy - just need a screwdriver and flash light. My wife is so happy to have ice again. Read more

Fridge would not turn on(clicking noise)....on youtube and APP they said its most likely start relay...I replaced start relay and compressor overload for $25...but it didn't fix the problem...I hired a technician to trouble shoot the problem...and he said it was the capacitor located next to motherboard...they wanted $240 to replace it...i said thanks and ordered the capacitor from this website for $18 dollars...$50 dollars for diagnostic work...still came up $200...i had to unplug two wires to... I ordered a complete ice maker from appliance parts after watching a few YouTube videos I was sure that I could replace the icemaker. Upon the arrival of the icemaker I removed two screws slid the icemaker out disconnected the wiring harness and replace the icemaker in less than five minutes. You can't buy the heater by itself, but you can buy the assembly with the heater. It's very easy with needle-nose pliers to straighten the fins, and remove the heater from the assembly, took less than 10 minutes to cut the wire ties, straighten the fins, and remove the heater. Once the refrigerator was defrosted, it was easy to then remove the broken heater and replace it, took about 30 minutes including defrosting with a hair dryer. My Samsung side by side was freezing up the cooling coils. My repair started by reading online problems of others and replacing parts they replaced. These parts were very inexpensive probes, less than $10 each, from this site. Although they turned out not to repair the problem, they were the most obvious and easies attempt.
