Removed front vent cover held on by two thin Phillips head screws. At the top of the panel was one screw. Removed screw holding panel in place. I then slid panel up out of grooves and had to use small thin flat head screw driver to release catches on the sides of panel. Snapped new on in place and reassembled. Read more

Found coupler completely loose, shaft attachment point disintegrated; melted? On motor, plastic-like material stuck on shaft. Easily found matching microwave model on AppliancePartsPros.com and matching parts. Oddly, like other appliance parts sellers, the motor was listed for about $60, but a second equivalent one for about $23. Photo matched original. I have one of those combo units with the microwave on top and the oven on the bottom. The thermometer switch located on the upper right side mounted on top of the magnetron read open on a continuity test. Replaced the thermal fuse. Everything works fine now. Note: The thermal switch on the left side read closed, the fan switch on the lower right side read open. I just watched some youtube videos on what and how to test the components.
