Took off the freezer door, took off the top hinge on the refrigerator door, replaced the handle, re-installed the top hinge and the freezer door. This is a two person job - one to remove the top hinge and replace the handle, while a second person holds the refrigerator door in place. Replacing the handle was easy. Had to take the back cover off. It was very tight to remove the fan that sat in the drip pan but did get it off, was able to apply the same level of cursing and got the new pan installed, installing the drain tube was a breeze. Found the parts price very reasonable. Hoping the Whirlpool redesigned the pan so I won't have to do it ever again. I was surprised at how bad the quality of their original part was. At 11:00 a.m. A service man called and said he was going to do the service call (the original tech was going to be delayed), so he had been scheduled instead. Water dispenser came down to a trickle and made a lot of noise, I changed the filter but it didnt help and thus the water tank/head assembly needed to be replaced. Replacing the water Tank/head assembly was an easy task, the hardest part is removing the covers and taking care of not breaking the insulation of the water inlet hose. First, I had to replace a cracked roller so I could roll the frig out. I did this by tilting it slightly and shoving a shim underneath. I had to use two shims to get enough clearance for the wheel. I unscrewed the old wheel, screwed in the new one pretty easy, removed the shims and rolled it out. Then I unplugged the frig from the power socket, removed 6 screws from the back panel, and pulled out the old drain kit, which had become clogged with dirt and dust. I put in the new drain kit,...
