This small metal fastener secures the roller assembly to the refrigerator's bottom panel, allowing smooth door movement. Located underneath the appliance, it needs replacement if the refrigerator rocks, tilts, or has difficulty rolling when moved.
The rubber seal that runs around the perimeter of the fresh food compartment door to create an airtight seal when closed. Replace if you notice condensation inside the refrigerator, frost buildup, or if the gasket appears cracked, torn, or pulls away from the door.

This rubber door gasket seals the freezer compartment, maintaining proper temperature and preventing frost buildup. It creates an airtight barrier around the entire door perimeter when closed. I found and ordered the matching gasket from AppliancePartsPros.com. The gasket came within three days and I was able to take the old gasket off, clean the door and install the new gasket within 1 1/2 hours. After door removal, cut and removed old failing seal. New seal, while of excellent quality, was rather badly deformed, probably due to the folds in it from shipping in a smaller box. These proved difficult to remedy, even using a combination of hot water, and a warm hair dryer to try to remove them. I also found it crucial to use a putty knife to push in the foam insulation, as shown in the video. It was challenging to get the new seal into certain areas, even after using the putty knife!
