The touch control glass panel serves as the user interface for cooktop controls, typically located at the front edge of the cooking surface. Replace when the touch controls don't respond, the glass is cracked or scratched, or the display is dim or malfunctioning.
I ordered what was recommended by a local repairman. When the part arrived, it was for a single oven. I called APP and was given the correct part to order. It arrived three days later and successfully repaired the problem. The CSR was informative, helpful and walked me through an exchange procedure properly. This a Thermador oven door hinge.
Replaced door hinge after watching the process on utube. when real smooth. Read more
I ordered the hinges and took the door off the oven. No tools are required for removal of oven door. Upon removal there are a total of 8 screws to remove to separate the oven door. This allows you to simply remove the old springs on each side of the door. The toughest part is putting enough tension to refine the new springs on the door. This is the second time I have had to replace in 3 years. Thermador oven door is too heavy for the springs to no stretch over time. Read more
