This is the trim piece that attaches along the bottom edge of the oven door, providing a finished appearance and helping seal the door panel. It is biscuit (bisque) in color. Replace this trim if it is cracked, warped, discolored, or missing, which can affect the door's appearance and insulation.
The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open. The grill vent is only held in place by two screws. Super simple fix. Remove the two screws and the old grill vent, position the new vent and put the two screws back in. Replacing the cord required that cabinet to be removed. Lots of screws on the back, top and bottom. Once the screws were removed, the cabinet pulled back. The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke.
