This On & Off Switch is an OEM part for Bosch Dishwashers. It's responsible for controlling the dishwasher's power supply. Continuous use or physical damage can cause this switch to malfunction. While replacing the broken latch I also noticed the switch tab that holds it into the door was cracked and was falling off the door. Pretty simple repair, removed the screws holding the door front on. Removed the two side screws holding the control panel on. With the latch unplugged bent, the two tabs ( they are on the front side of the panel) removed the latching assembly and reversed the process and securing by bending the tabs back to the original position.
