This is a plastic fan blade that attaches to the ventilation motor inside the microwave. It circulates air to cool internal components and, in over-the-range models, helps vent steam and cooking odors. Replace this blade if it is cracked, broken, or wobbling, which can cause excessive noise or reduced ventilation performance.
