GE no longer makes the shelf support available but Appliancepartspros had somewhat similar part for icemaker bucket that I could adapt. Saved the frig! Customer support was great, friendly, knowledgeable, patient, providing information about the part I needed (no longer available) and the intended use of the part I purchased. Am satisfied with the outcome but 5 stars would have been if GE still provided the missing part to suppliers (they probably didn't expect their frig to last so long!!). Read more

The replacement was made to fit various models. None of the instructions really fit my model. Ended up spending less time actually replacing it than reading the instructions. Took about 15 minutes. Needed a zip tie to hold the wires to back, otherwise the ice drawer would not shut. Works great, faster than the original, makes 8 cubes every 40 minutes. Repairman determined the Defrost heater was out. Repairman wanted 3 week to get the part. I have shopped many times before at AppliancePartsPros for other appliance parts. The ice maker still worked so I just ordered a new Dispenser Control Board and thanks to Appliance Parts Pros, five minutes after it arrived at the house the ice dispenser was working again. Read more

The ice dispenser door was not closing tightly. As a result, there was frost build up in the ice chute, which also was allowing ambient air and temperature into the freezer compartment. Upon further inspection, there was black “schmutz” on the ice door, and the rubber ice funnel and deflector parts were deteriorating.
