Replaced power cord. Note: Took old cord off and went to Sears parts center a couple of miles from my home. They said it was no longer available. I got the model number from inside the refrigerator and started researching as to who sold parts for this old refrigerator. AppliancePartsPros.com had the best price with parts and shipping. It came in just a few days. The handle was easy to replace by popping out the bottom cover, unscrewing one screw at the bottom and then unscrewing the top two screws. First cleaned cooling fins at bottom. Plugged!! Cooled well but still got warm again. Tested defrost timer, boarder line good so replaced it. Still was getting warm. After doing a lot of web searching I found a tree chart which showed a trouble shooting method. After dropping down the list my symptom was freezer thermostat was bad. Got one from the Pros.com and the problem was solved. Wish that the drop down chart was on the pros.com website, it would have saved time and food. Read more
